The Mengdong River is a national 4A-level scenic area located in Yongshun County, Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture. The river features 108 rapids, 20 waterfalls, and notable attractions like Hani Palace and Sanjiao Rock. The Mengdong River Tourism Area encompasses the middle and lower reaches of the Mengdong River, the You River, and the Lingxi River, offering a stunning karst landscape. Tourists can enjoy rafting along the Mengdong River or explore the ancient town of Wangcun, which has over 2,000 years of history. Qifeng Lake, formed during the construction of the Fengtan Hydropower Station, is another highlight of the region, with its serene and ever-changing scenery.

Shuiyue Cave, with its Tang and Song Dynasty stone carvings, holds the Guinness World Record for the smallest cave with the most carvings. The Puxian Pagoda and the Ming Dynasty statue of Guanyin, the Goddess of Mercy, are other notable attractions within the scenic area. The Fuchun River-Xin'an River Scenic Area is one of China's first national scenic areas, spanning 980 square kilometers in Zhejiang Province. The area boasts geological wonders, historical sites, and rich flora and fauna. The Xin'an River flows through Thousand Island Lake, and the Qili Waterfall Gorge was formed by river erosion. The scenic area has strengthened ecological conservation and cultural tourism integration, with plans for the Meifeng, Shicheng XunGu, and Longchuanwan districts, as well as water-based sightseeing and ecological camping activities.
